What Is Chess To Me?

Chess has been prevalent in my childhood ever since I was only 3 years old. I was taught at a very young age and ever since then, never stopped playing the game. It was something I was good at especially when I started comparing myself to much older kids when I was younger. Ever since elementary school all the way to high-school I was always on apart of the school chess team bringing home all the glory back to our school. I influenced many of my friends to start playing chess, I played in many tournaments both individual and team chess. The furthest I went individually was provincials and for teams was cities. Chess is apart of me, it is something I always do; even now I'm apart of my high-school chess team still playing for them.
