What Is Waiting For Godot?

The perfect answer to explain what Waiting For Godot is...

My Thoughts While Reading

While reading, 'Waiting For Godot' I was always thinking in the back of my mind, "What is the point to this story?" It truly followed nothing and I felt like I was wasting my time reading this novel as nothing was solved at all throughout this story. However, whenever I always come back and to this book I always notice that the point of this story was to showcase how meaningless everything is around us. That this book embody the case of nothingness.

It had given me insight to stop and take some time to think about life in general. That that everything like status, thoughts, beauty, anything that is otherwise our main primal survival instincts truly don't matter. That every day is nothing more than a cycle of waking up, trying to scavenge for food, and then lastly sleeping, over and over again till we die. That everything that happens in between our lives will truly mean nothing to someone anyone else. That "OUR" daily lives is just a pointless meaningless thing that occurs every single time where we wait so that one day we can no longer wake up.

My Take On This Book

Yes, this book tells us reader that everything does not matter. That deep down in hindsight, nobody really cares about anything you do, that you will never truly be able to 'mean' something to them. However, while this book tells us that everything is meaningless as we will never be remember, I beg the question to why should that matter anyways. Why should it matter that everything is meaningless. Why couldn't you yourself give meaning to whatever thing you want. That the necklace you wear and are willing to pay millions of dollars to keep is a precious commodity only to you might seem meaningless worthless in other people eyes but it doesn't matter. Anyways, my point is to not let anyone else dictate what YOUR life means, you are your own creator and YOU should decide what things mean to YOU.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I still recommend you to read this book. Even though its boring, even though its meaningless, it allows you to confront yourself on an important topic about life. It lets you decide your own outlook on life. This book greatly helped me confront my own problems about the meaning of my own life. Who knows, maybe by reading this book you my dear reader might also be able resolve some major problem of yours.
